# Send a Fax with AI Agents and MCP

Send a fax from Cursor, Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, or VS Code over MCP. Checkout for chat apps; Stripe MPP for Link CLI cards or Tempo USDC.

## The last mile is still fax
Large language models can draft a packet. Many courts, agencies, and clinics still want it on a fax line. MCP is the adapter: the client discovers tools, the user signs in with OAuth, and the agent calls `create_fax_draft` with the PDF as `base64`.
That is the chat path. Payment is **hosted Checkout**, or leftover subscription pages, not ChatGPT Instant Checkout, and not MPP, unless you add Stripe Link CLI or a Tempo wallet and hit the REST machine URL.

Can I send faxes using an AI agent or MCP via SingleFax today?
Yes. Add the SingleFax MCP server at https://singlefax.com/mcp from /agents. Chat apps get a Checkout link or send on leftover subscription pages. Autonomous pay uses Stripe MPP on POST /api/v1/machine/faxes with Link CLI (card SPT) or a Tempo USDC wallet, not /mcp. Do not send PHI on MCP, MPP, or the public API.
What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
MCP is an open standard that lets LLM clients call remote tools over Streamable HTTP. SingleFax exposes quote, send, credits, and catalog tools after OAuth.
Is this the same as ChatGPT Instant Checkout?
No. Instant Checkout is Stripe ACP shopping. SingleFax ChatGPT support is a custom MCP connector in Developer mode; payment is a Checkout URL. MPP is a separate HTTP 402 path.
Can agents pay with crypto or Tempo USDC?
Yes, on POST /api/v1/machine/faxes. The 402 offers Tempo USDC.e as well as Stripe SPT. Tempo Wallet, Privy, AgentCash, and Kite Passport can pay. Website Checkout is still card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link.
