Is there a free way to get a transcript?

Yes. Use Get Transcript at IRS.gov or call 1-800-908-9946. That is usually faster. Fax Form 4506-T when you cannot use Get Transcript — no online access, verification of nonfiling, or a business transcript.

Will the IRS fax the transcript back to SingleFax?

No. Since July 2019 the IRS mails transcripts only to the taxpayer address of record. Line 5 is an optional customer file number (up to 10 digits), not a lender mailing address. We do not sell a return fax number for this form.

How do you pick the IRS fax number?

From the live IRS.gov where-to-file chart (not the printed page-2 chart on the PDF), using the state you lived in — or the business was in — when that return was filed. Individual (1040-series / W-2 / 1099) vs business charts differ. Multiple years that split campuses use the most recent return’s state.

What is included for $9.99?
