Which plans support port-in?

Standard and Business, monthly or annual, including the HIPAA Secure option. The first release supports one eligible US or Canadian local fax number per request. Toll-free, mobile, international, lifetime and 30-day port-ins are excluded.

What paperwork do I need?

A signed Letter of Authorization (LOA), a recent carrier bill, the exact account holder and service address, account number, billing telephone number, and a PIN if your carrier requires one. Additional carrier requirements appear in your transfer details.

When does subscription billing start?

Accepted Answer

For a new subscriber bringing a number, save a payment method upfront; subscription billing starts when the number transfers and fax routing is ready. No temporary number is included. Existing subscribers keep their billing and page pool, with 14 days of inbound overlap on the old number.

How much does port-out cost?

Accepted Answer

Every port-out costs $10 per regular number or $150 per vanity number, paid upfront. Vanity means an 800 area code or four identical trailing digits, such as 0000 or 7777. There is no free port-out allowance, including after cancellation or for numbers you originally brought to SingleFax.

What happens if the transfer fails?

We fully refund the prepaid $10 or $150 fee after the carrier confirms that the transfer failed or was canceled. A delay or request for corrected paperwork is not a failed transfer. You can track transfer status and refund status separately in your dashboard.

How do I transfer away?

Accepted Answer

Request port-out in My Numbers and pay the quoted fee. Give your new provider the transfer details shown in your dashboard; that provider initiates the carrier transfer. SingleFax reviews ownership and tracks completion. Keep service active until completion.

Question 7

What happens to my subscription and history?

Accepted Answer

After confirmed port-out, number service ends and subscription renewal stops. Unused subscription time is not prorated or refunded. Outstanding usage remains payable. Your existing fax history stays in your account, subject to its usual retention settings.

Can I port out after canceling?

Accepted Answer

Yes, while the former subscription number is still assigned to you; the same $10 or $150 upfront fee applies. Ordinary cancellation retains pay-as-you-go inbound. The existing 90-day inactivity policy still applies, with notices before release. An open transfer pauses release.

How long does porting take?

Accepted Answer

Timing depends on the carriers and the accuracy of your paperwork. Requested transfer dates are not guaranteed. Keep the old service active until confirmation and test receiving and sending afterward.
